In this tutorial I'll demonstrate the basic configuration, implementation and uses of Telnet. Nowadays, nobody uses as remotely administration to their network devices using Telnet due to lack of security. Telnet uses clear text mode for sending and receiving data over the network. In Cisco Certification it's important to understand about it. Let's start. You can get files which is used during this recording. 🤍
CISCO BANNERS and DEFAULTING INTERFACE CONFIGURATION PART 1 LOGIN Banner This Banner is use to inform the incoming sessions about the legal and privacy information. In other words anyone who establish session orconnection to the device will be prompted with Legal Information. This will show during authentication or before you login to the device. Message-of-the-Day Banner Banner MOTD is commonly used to display maintainance information on Cisco device such as preventive maintainance, upgrade and routine maintainance. This is displayed prior to the login banner and configured the same way as any other banner. PART 2 Defaulting IOS configuration in specific configuration is a way better to do than to negate multiple commands. In a real world scenario, we may want to reset configuration to an interface configuration or other types of configuration back to the default Cisco IOS configuration. To demonstrate, we will clear the interface configuration which has about 10 lines of configuration. Usually you will negate the configuration using no command to each configuration under that interface. Cisco CLI for Beginners | Network Fundamentals Part 10 You’ve been following on for a while, and now it’s time to get your keys dirty by starting Cisco router or switch configuration! Routers and switches come in different sizes and shapes depending on how they’re used. You might have a devices suited to SOHO, enterprise, or service provider spaces. The thing that’s usually common to all these, is that you can configure them using the CLI (Command Line Interface) In this video we’ll start by looking at a router physically. You’ll see the console ports (both USB and serial), the data ports, the AUX port, module slots, and single/dual power supplies. Next, we’ll see how to use a terminal emulator called Putty to connect to the router using a USB Serial Adapter. From here you’ll see user exec mode, global exec mode (AKA privileged exec mode) and configuration mode. While we’re here, we’ll configure an interface with an IP address, and configure remote access to the router (using SSH). Finally, we’ll talk about lab options, including physical equipment, GNS3, packet tracer, VIRL and EVEng. Lab options: 🤍 🤍 🤍 🤍 The CCENT/CCNA study guide (affiliate): 🤍 In the next video, we’re starting to get deeper, by starting switching! To set banner in cisco router please follow these steps. The most easiest way.............. A banner is a message that is presented to someone using the router. The type of banner you configure determines when this message is shown to the user. You can configure three main types of banners on a Cisco router. Notice that each of the banner lines ends with a hash symbol (#) to delimit the end of the message. You can specify any character you want, but you will be using it to end the banner message Login: This banner displays before login to the system but after the MOTD banner is displayed. Typically, this banner displays a permanent message to users. Exec: This banner displays after the login is completed when the connecting user enters User EXEC mode. Whereas the other banners are seen by all people who attempt to connect to the router, this banner is seen only by users who successfully log on to the router. This banner can be used to post reminders to network administrators.
